Meet The Team

Reza Ferreira completed her Bachelor of Optometry degree at RAU in 1990, followed by a post-graduate course (CAS) in ocular disease and pharmaceutical application in 2003. She then completed a course at the Stark-Griffen dyslexia academy that enables her to do dyslexia determining tests for children with learning disabilities.

Reza started her first practice in Phalaborwa in 1993 and is still actively involved in the business. A branch in Menlyn Retail Park in Pretoria followed from 2002 to 2016. A new practice was then opened in Paarl, early in 2016, at the Laborie centre. At the beginning of 2022, this practice was relocated to the Drakenstein Checkers centre, opposite Boschenmeer.

Channáh du Plessis is the newest straight-up class act and enthusiastic optometrist working alongside Reza Ferreira. Channáh completed her degree in Bachelor of Optometry at the University of the Free State. She is smart, strong, and silly. As a twin, she has learned so much about compassion, being herself, and making room for others.

Channáh has a great love for sports, especially athletics and trail running. She has high standards and likes pushing the boundaries. This has taught her resilience and patience. She also feels that the best things come from living outside our comfort zones and that we are capable of so much more than we think.

"I have a burning passion for optometry. I want to help people and learn more so that I can provide them with the best possible solution. I have learned that to be the best, you have to learn from the best; therefore, I am excited to be a member of the team at Reza Ferreira Optometrists."

With over 20 years of experience in the optical industry, Anja has worked for top multinational companies, including Carl Zeiss Vision, Essilor, and Cooper Vision SA. Additionally, she spent two years working in private practice in the UK, providing personalized optical services to clients.

Her extensive background in the industry has equipped her with a deep understanding of optical products and services, enabling her to provide expert care and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each patient.

A dedicated graduate deeply passionate about optics that has been with the team for almost 4 years. She excels at understanding the technical details of lens ordering and enjoys mastering the complexities involved.

With a strong academic background and diverse experience, she brings excellent client service skills to the team. She enjoys ordering lenses and helping clients choose frames that reflect their personality and boost their confidence.
